We’re almost ready to release the new version of BlogJet. I decided to change the upcoming version number from 1.2 to 1.5 since it has a lot of improvements over 1.1 (and to match FeedDemon’s version
).
I also decided to raise the price, so if you’re evaluating the trial version, don’t wait until it expired, buy now for a low price.
Update: BlogJet 1.5 is the free update for registered users.

Meet the new build of BlogJet – it’s now release candidate. This build brings new level of security for blog clients – it can use secure (SSL) protocol to communicate with servers (if you don’t use it, your password can be sniffed, since it’s being transmitted as plain text).
Most popular services support SSL (e.g. TypePad), so if you have an account in BlogJet, edit it and tick “Use SSL” checkbox.
This feature will also enable MSN Spaces support as soon as they implement an API via SSL.

Microsoft announced the launch of their own free hosted blogging service – MSN Spaces. They do not offer API at this moment, so you can’t use BlogJet to post to Spaces.
